Days 1–2

Day 1

Travel with the team and expedition supplies to the yurt camp of an eagle hunter. Begin training on horseback.

Day 2

In the morning, train on horseback and learn how to ride a horse with local commands for the first time.

In the afternoon, hunt with eagles in the mountains. We split into two teams: one climbs with the eagle hunter while the other flushes game from below. You take part in the hunt, helping create the opportunity for the bird to strike.

In the evening, watch the horsemen become acrobats. Professional trick riders stand at full gallop, lie across moving horses, and flip on and off the saddle. Finally, witness a fire show—horseback acrobatics performed amid flames against the night sky.

ACROBATIC HORSEMANSHIP

Days 3–10

Ride eight to fifteen hours a day through mountain country at elevations between 2,500 and 5,500 meters—heights comparable to Everest Base Camp. Sleep in tents, saddle up, and continue the next morning.

Day 10: Kok Boru

Finish the expedition with kok boru—wrestling for a goat carcass on horseback. Riders compete to seize it, pull it from their opponents, and carry it to the goal. We typically play with the local horsemen on the final day, putting your days in the saddle to the test. After the game, we arrange transportation back to Bishkek.
